JPS Stephanie Emerson Joins Girls on the Run Board of Directors
Johnson Price Sprinkle PA (JPS) is pleased to announce that Stephanie Emerson, JPS Director of Firm Administration, recently joined Girls on the Run (GOTR) of Western North Carolina Board of Directors.
A health enthusiast, Stephanie has promoted wellness throughout her career and is happy to extend her passion to local elementary and middle school girls. GOTR of WNC is an international non-profit seeking to develop 3rd – 8th grade girls physically, emotionally and socially using a fun, experience-based curriculum which integrates running.
Originally founded twenty years ago in Charlotte, NC, GOTR of WNC serves over 1,200 girls in eleven Western North Carolina counties, with 346 trained volunteer coaches at 63 specific locations (mostly schools). GOTR of WNC’s annual December 5K, not only provides a non-competitive celebratory event for each participant to run, but is also an important yearly fundraiser. At JPS, Stephanie focuses on internal operational management and leads the firm’s human resource initiatives including recruitment, education and compliance, benefits structures, wellness programs, and policies. She also oversees firm operations and general initiatives, facility management for all three office locations and administrative personnel. Stephanie joined JPS in 2004 and holds a B.S. in Communication/Public Relations from Western Carolina University, where she was a student athlete. In her spare time, she enjoys exercising at the YMCA, cooking, reading, being outdoors, and spending time with her family, especially at the lake.
