JPS Spreads Out Over Western North Carolina for CPA Day of Service

In keeping with the JPS mission of making our communities a better place, Johnson Price Sprinkle staff was at five different locations on Friday, September 21st assisting area non-profits. CPA Day of Service, organized by the North Carolina Association of Certified Public Accountants, proudly had 2,242 of its members participate in this event all across the state. The 38 member JPS team targeted 7 different organizations including: Brother Wolf Animal Rescue, Habitat for Humanity- Asheville, Homeward Bound, Animal Compassion Network, Manna Food Bank, Habitat for Humanity- Watauga County and Marion Elementary School Stop Hunger Program. JPS activities for the day included, packing apples for distribution, working with area pet rescue agencies, on site work with Habitat, and assisting the homeless. Due to scheduling issues with participating organizations, we still have to events to go! They include on site work with Habitat for Humanity – Boone and packing nutritional “weekend backpacks” in conjunction with Marion Elementary School. A special thanks to JPS staff members Mona Wade and Zach Levin for organizing the events and helping make the day a huge success!
