JPS Shareholder, Rollin Groseclose, Panelist At IRS ‘TAS’ Event

JPS Shareholder, Rollin Groseclose, will be a panelist at The National Taxpayer Advocate (TAS) Public Forum on Monday, April 4th from 5:30 – 7:00 pm to be held in the Henderson County King Street Meeting Room in Hendersonville, NC.

The National Taxpayer Advocate (TAS) is an independent organization within the IRS that helps taxpayers and protects taxpayers’ rights.  TAS is holding public forums around the country as an opportunity for taxpayers to express their wants, preferences and needs from the IRS to comply with tax obligations.  Nina E. Olson, the National Taxpayer Advocate, is the voice of taxpayers to the IRS and before Congress.  Ms. Olson has been holding a series of public forums to gain public input as the IRS develops a ‘Future State’ plan that envisions how it will operate in five years and beyond.

Ms. Olson and Congressman Mark Meadows, NC 11th District, will preside over the  Hendersonville April 4th non-partisan public forum.  They will be joined by an invited panel from the small business and local taxpayer community, which include JPS Shareholder, Rollin Groseclose, AARP Tax Aide- Henderson County, Bob Smith, and, LITC Legal Services of Southern Piedmont, Arthur Bartlett.

All are welcome to this important opportunity to voice your opinions so the ‘Future State’ will better reflect your needs and preferences in complying with tax codes.
