Scott Hughes, CPA, was recently elected onto the North Carolina Association of Certified Public Accountants (NCACPA) Board of Directors. NCACPA has more than 15,000 members and provides services to promote the competence, integrity, civic responsibility, and success of North Carolina’s CPAs. Scott has been active with NCACPA for many years; most recently as a Peer Review Committee member & past chair, Education Sub-Committee member, and, as last year’s recipient of the 5.0 Discussion Leader Award, acknowledging his exceptional evaluation scores as a seminar speaker.

Scott joins NCACPA Immediate Past Chair and JPS Shareholder, Rollin Groseclose, onto the NCACPA Board. Scott and Rollin are two of three board members from Western NC. Of his new position, Scott said “I am honored to be elected to the NCACPA Board of Directors and consider this an important role. I look forward to working on behalf of CPAs throughout North Carolina in promoting and advancing the accounting profession.” Scott’s term will expire in 2021.
