JPS April Westmoreland Joins McDowell Chamber Board of Directors

Johnson Price Sprinkle PA (JPS) April K. Westmoreland recently joined McDowell Chamber of Commerce’s Board of Directors.  April is one of three new members who began a three-year term as of January 2017.  JPS is a CPA firm providing accounting services to small and middle market businesses with tax, consulting and audit services.  JPS has offices in Marion, Boone and Asheville, NC and its mission statement is ‘to Be Greater by positively impacting our Clients, People, Community and Profession’.

Since its inception in 1957, McDowell Chamber of Commerce has partnered with area business owners, local and regional governments and community organizations to encourage and support economic and community growth. The Chamber has an active and committed membership with a sixteen-person Board of Director leadership.

April is a long-standing resident of McDowell County and a graduate of McDowell High School. She is pleased to be serving the community through her new term and is proud Johnson Price Sprinkle PA has been a member of McDowell’s Chamber of Commerce since 1965.  The Chamber currently has 375 members and a mission to provide members with services ‘that will support economic growth and encourage community involvement’.

April is a Senior Manager at JPS and joined the firm in 1999. She holds a Master of Accountancy from Western Carolina University and a B.S. in Accounting from the University of North Carolina Asheville.  April has significant experience in assurance services and works with a broad range of industries.  In her free time she enjoys hiking, crafting and spending time with her husband and son.
