Assurance Associate
Job Description
An Assurance Associate is responsible for applying foundational knowledge to assurance engagements to help support the financial statements of our clients. As part of our assurance department you will gain specialized knowledge that will help you collaborate with our clients and our internal teams. Candidate is expected to mentor others and be comfortable working in and communicating within team environment.
Experience/Preferred Skills
- Minimum of (1) year experience preferred
- Demonstrating and applying foundational knowledge of the technical accounting and financial reporting standards under the GAAP and GAAS
- Applying applicable auditing standards when performing auditing work, taking proactive steps to be familiar with the firm ‘s audit methodology and guidance
- Elevating potential issues on a timely basis after gathering key facts
- Leveraging team members and appropriate technical resources to assist in resolutions
- Taking pride and responsibility for the quality of work and performing critical self-reviews
- Demonstrating professional skepticism, independence, and objectivity
- Seeking proactively the advice of supervisors and responding to feedback in a timely manner
- Performing research and analysis to have a preliminary resolution for the team supervisor
- Demonstrating a strong work ethic and delivering high-quality results on time
- Collaborating with others to optimize solutions, testing the feasibility of recommendations offered, anticipating potential inquiries, and preparing responses
- Identifying and using the most effective communication tools and applications
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or other business field of study.
CPA Licensure or eligible to sit for the exam preferred but not required.

Senior Tax Associate
Job Description
A Senior Tax Associate is responsible for utilizing research skills, applying tax foundational knowledge to understand potential tax issues, meeting with clients for gathering information necessary for filing and participating in tax planning, recognizing and communicating potential risks, preparing tax accrual work papers, and working with tax software applications and preparing or assisting others with preparing tax returns for review. Candidate expected to mentor others and comfortable working in and communicating within a team environment.
Experience
- 3 – 5 years of prior experience
- Experience with corporate taxation and partnerships, particularly with pass-through entities
- Experience with consolidations and additional areas preferred
- Experience with all facets of individual returns and tax planning, including high-net-worth individuals
- Prior basic supervisory experience preferred
- Prior experience preparing and reviewing of tax provisions preferred
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or other relevant field required.
Master’s degree in Accounting beneficial, Master’s degree in taxation preferred.
Valuation, Forensic and Litigation Services Manager
Responsibilities
- Perform industry, market, and competitor research, including benchmarking and trend analysis
- Analyze financial statements with the ability to discuss trends with the engagement manager
- Prepare financial projections through analysis of historical financial statements, income tax returns, industry research, and management discussion
- Apply valuation methodologies including discounted cash flow, capitalization of earnings, private company comparisons, and liquidation values
- Draft initial valuation report and exhibits for review
What do you need to be successful?
- Minimum of 3 – 5 years experience in BV and Litigation Support
- Specific experience preparing valuations for gift, estate, and income tax matter, mergers and acquisition, shareholder transactions, marital dissolution, and strategic business planning
- Degree in accounting or finance. Graduate degree is a plus
- Progress toward, or completion of, credentials such as ASA, ABV, CVA, CFA
