Tige became part of the JPS team upon the company's acquisition of the Boone office of Dixon Hughes, PLLC in 2009, and in January 2012 he was named a shareholder. He provides clients with tax, estate planning and consulting services and has extensive experience working with Christmas tree farms, manufacturers, retailers, wholesalers, construction companies and real estate developers.
A graduate of Appalachian State University (where he played basketball for four years and served as team captain as one), Tige joined Crisp Hughes Evans, LLP (now Dixon Hughes Goodman, LLP) in 1998, later moving to the position of tax manager.
In his free time, Tige enjoys spending time with his wife, Tera, and three children. Since 1998, ASU basketball fans have known him as the radio color commentator for the university's men's basketball teams. He serves as a volunteer coach for youth soccer, football, basketball and baseball teams, and he also enjoys reading and collecting sports cards and memorabilia.
