Bud has more than 30 years of experience in the accounting industry. He served as an agent for the IRS for four years before joining AKZO-America as manager of federal taxes from 1980 until 1986. He then started a practice, Hughes, Hughes & Company, PA, with his brother, Scott. In 2004, Bud and Scott merged their firm with JPS.

Bud has extensive experience in business and individual tax planning and preparation. He also works in the areas of estate and succession planning, estate and fiduciary tax return preparation, and issues with the Internal Revenue Service.

When not at work, Bud enjoys playing golf, vacationing at Holden Beach, NC, and spending time with his children and grandchildren.
