Community Is Our Core.

From the beginning, community involvement has been at the core of JPS. We know the success of our firm and its clients depends on the strength of Western North Carolina as a whole, which is why we encourage all of our team members to be active in a variety of not-for-profits.

On a corporate level, our primary areas for community involvement are Habitat for Humanity, UNCA Family Business Forum and the Asheville Area Chamber of Commerce.

In May 2009 we sponsored our third Habitat home. Over the past two years, we have supported Habitat both financially and with 1,158 volunteer work hours. Almost every person in our firm has been out on the job site hammering nails, cleaning, painting or delivering lunches and supplies to our crews.

JPS is one of four local companies to sponsor the UNCA Family Business Forum. We've been active on the sponsor board and have been involved with a number of events for this important endeavor.

Representatives of the firm currently serve as ambassadors and Total Resource Campaign members for the Asheville Area Chamber of Commerce. We also sponsor many Chamber events and assist the organization in as many ways as possible.
On a personal level, the owners, managers and staff at JPS hold a number of leadership positions in a number of industry organizations and community foundations.
